Agro-Genetic technologies Ltd (AGT) is a
private and independent company with limited liabilities.
AGT is the first and only private company in Uganda to use biotechnology
through tissue culture techniques for micro-propagation of different
crops on a commercial basis.
AGT is also the first commercial agro biotech laboratory
in Uganda and its currently the biggest tissue culture laboratory in East and Central
Africa with the capacity to produce up-to 10 million plantlets per year (depending
on the type of crop).
